Puan Claims There Are Mega-Prabowo Talks About The Entry Of Budi Gunawan In The Cabinet

Chairman of the DPR and Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani said there was talk between PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Prabowo Subianto regarding the entry of Budi Gunawan in the Red and White cabinet. Budi Gunawan or familiarly called BG is often associated as a minister from PDIP.

"Yes, there must be talks. (Mrs. Mega) Yes, you know, on TV there is. (The response) is positive," said Puan, Monday, October 21.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture emphasized that Budi Gunawan was chosen by Prabowo to depart from a professional background. Regarding whether BG will be a liaison for PDIP if there is a cabinet reshuffle later, Puan responds normatively.

"Yes, we'll see later. This has just been inaugurated, let this cabinet run its best," explained Puan.

Puan was also present at the inauguration of the minister and head of the Red and White Cabinet agency of President Prabowo Subianto's administration today. He ensured that the DPR was ready to work together with the government to develop the country.

When asked about the possibility of weighting the state budget because there are quite a lot of additional ministries in the Prabowo administration era, Puan invites all to wait for the performance of the new government.

"We'll see how the future performance will be carried out by the upcoming cabinet. This is just an announcement xq that has not done what must be done," said Puan.

"We support it first. We'll see how it goes later, we'll see what happens with the addition of these ministries and agencies," added the first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI.

Puan also again ensured that PDIP supported the Prabowo government through parliamentary channels.

"So we both build Indonesia, how to make Indonesia more advanced, so it is better to be better known by international leaders through parliament," he concluded.

As is known, there were 48 ministers that Prabowo announced. Of the dozens of ministers, nine ministries were divided into 21 new ministries in the Prabowo era.

In addition, there are 5 heads of agencies and 56 deputy ministers, bringing the total personnel in Prabowo's cabinet to 109 people.
