Always Fails To Bring Home The Cup, Sal Priadi Pede Wins At AMI Awards 2024?

JAKARTA - Sal Priadi became one of the singers nominated for several categories at the 2024 Indonesian Music Award (AMI).

The album Markers and Such Pens Flashdisks was nominated for two categories, namely Best Album and Best Pop Album.

While the song 'Gala Bunga Matahari' was nominated for four categories, namely Best Production Work, Best Music Video, Best Pop Male Solo Artist, and Best Pop Song Creator.

The Sun Flower Gala even made Salmantyo Ashrizky Priadi a songwriter and Aco Tenriyagelli a music video director to be nominated.

Asked about his confidence in being able to bring home the AMI trophy this year, Sal tried to leave the entire decision to those in charge of giving an assessment.

The 32-year-old singer is confident (pede) and believes the 'Sun Flower Gala' has quality, but he doesn't know if his assessment can lead him to his first win at AMI.

"Wow, if the song is good, the song is really good. But it's great to win, yes, other friends who were nominated were crazy too, yes, their work," said Dal Priadi in Senayan, Central Jakarta some time ago.

"I also listen, I'm also a fan of them. So we'll see," he continued.

Sal himself has been nominated for the AMI Awards five times, but he has not won a single victory so far.

Seeing the current conditions, said Sal, the inclusion of the 'Sun Flower Gala' and the 'Markers and Such Pens Flashdisks' as the nominees for the 2024 AMI Awards itself is a very special appreciation.

"A lot of work was nominated. Today the 'Gala Bunga Matahari' which is appreciated. The form of being nominated has become a special appreciation for me. Regarding winning or losing, of course, it's another matter," said Sal.

"But yes, that was, that once again, 'Gala Bunga Matahari' has a place in the hearts of listeners and has relevance that can be interpreted as a listener. That's the most important thing," he concluded.
