The Position Of Seskab Is Not A Minister, Kadispen TNI AD Affirms Major Teddy Is Still Active TNI
JAKARTA - Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispen) (AD), Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana emphasized that Major (Inf) Teddy Indra Wijaya or Major Teddy were still active TNI, even though President Prabowo Subianto had appointed Cabinet Secretary.
The reason, Wahyu explained, is that the position of Cabinet Secretary is not at the ministerial level and is under the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg).
"I have conformed to the Setmilpres, the position of Cabinet Secretary is not at the ministerial level, and that is under the Ministry of State Secretariat," said Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana, to VOI, Monday, October 21.
Wahyu said that the position of Cabinet Secretary could be held by an active TNI with the maximum rank of Brigadier General. "This means that middle officers can take office," he explained.
Currently, Major Teddy is an intermediate officer. So, according to Wahyu, Teddy could serve as Cabinet Secretary without the need to resign from the TNI unit.
"Teddy remains active," said Wahyu.
Wahyu explained that the position that Teddy held at this time was an assignment outside the Indonesian Army, with the rank still rolling as usual.
"If there is an increase (position in the TNI), it will continue to rise. If you are no longer in office (Seskab) and return to the TNI, the rank is in accordance with the latest rank at that time," Wahyu said.
Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, explained about the position of aide to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, Teddy Indra Wijaya or Major Teddy in the Red and White Cabinet. Dasco said his position as Cabinet Secretary was under the Ministry of State Secretary so there was no need to resign from the TNI.
This was conveyed by Dasco in response to the number of parties who questioned how an active TNI member with the rank of major could fill the position of Cabinet Secretary.
Dasco explained that the nomenclature of the Cabinet Secretary was abolished and merged under the coordination of the Minister of State Secretary.
"The structure and organizational charts have changed so that there is no Menseskab but are merged under the Minister of State Secretary," Dasco said when contacted, Monday, October 21.
Therefore, continued Dasco, Major Teddy did not need to resign from his position as an active TNI officer. Because said Dasco, the position of Cabinet Secretary is no longer at the ministerial level.
"So that this nomenclature change can be filled by Brother Teddy without having to retire from the TNI because it is not at the ministerial level," he said.
