Introducing, This Is A 'Maung Garuda' Car Used By Prabowo After Being Officially Inaugurated As President Of The Republic Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto left the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, after being officially inaugurated wearing a vehicle by the nation's children "Maung Garuda", Sunday, October 20.

As reported by Antara, the car was accompanied by three white Jeep cars and 10 Paspampres motorbikes. The group then formed a line and exit to the DPR RI Gate at around 12.30 WIB.

Prabowo initially came in a Toyota Alphard with a Ministry of Defense plate. Furthermore, Prabowo left the location with the white-twisted SUV with the 'Indonesia 1' plate to go to the Merdeka Palace.

Maung is a 4x4 light tactical vehicle produced by PT Pindad aimed at supporting close combat operations and difficult terrain cruises.

Based on the official Pindad website, Maung is designed to have agile and reliable maneuverability to support the mobility of its users in various operational fields.

This formidable SUV has a safe speed of 120 km/hour, a manual transmission of 6-speed and is capable of reaching a distance of up to 800 km.

Maung can be equipped with a 7.62 mm gun bracket, SS2 V4 gun console, GPS navigation device and vehicle tracker and other equipment.

The car with a capacity of four passengers has a weight of 2,160 kg which can be modified for various purposes. However, Prabowo's Maung has been modified European-style with a chrome velg. On the back, there is the "GARUDA" logo.

The inauguration ceremony for Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka which took place at the MPR/DPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (20/10), was completed at 11.25 WIB. Prabowo-Gibran then hosted a friendly country envoy.

The 'Indonesia 1' plate was originally used by the presidential car of the black Mercedes-Benz sedan which was boarded by the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) when he arrived at the MPR Building. When he left the location, Jokowi used a black Toyota Alphard with a B-1339-ZZR plate.

After conducting the welcoming procession at the Merdeka Palace, Jokowi will return to his hometown in Solo, Central Java, boarding the Indonesian Air Force aircraft through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the 13th Vice President Ma'ruf Amin will also undergo a welcoming procession with the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Sunday.
