Ucap Terima Terima Ke Jokowi, Prabowo Kenang Masa COVID-19 Tanpa Lockdown
JAKARTA - The 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto thanked the previous Presidents. Prabowo also thanked the 7th President Joko Widodo.
This was conveyed in his remarks after being officially inaugurated with Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in the plenary session of the MPR RI.
"We thank the 7th president Pak Joko Widodo and Prof. Ma'ruf Amin, thank you for your leadership, thank you for your statesmanship," said Prabowo at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Sunday, October 20.
Prabowo recalls the times of the COVID-19 pandemic when he became Minister of Defense in Jokowi's cabinet.

According to Prabowo, Jokowi was able to bring the leadership captain to survive the pandemic without implementing a lockdown or regional quarantine in Indonesia.
"I am a witness, I love him, all parties from within and outside the country ask for lockdown, lockdown, lockdown. He refuses, he thinks that we are locking, how about wong cilik, warteg, ojol? How do people eat from daily wages?" Prabowo explained.
"Don't forget the achievements of our leader, thank you Pak Jokowi, thank you Prof. Ma'ruf, you will be remembered as the best Indonesian son.
On that occasion, Prabowo also thanked President Soekarno, Suharto, BJ Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), Megawati Soekarnoputri, and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
