Surya Paloh Expects Prabowo-Gibran To Improve The Achievement Of The Performance Of The Government Of The Republic Of Indonesia
Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh hopes that the leadership of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto for the next five years can increase the government's performance achievements from what has been achieved so far, so that Indonesia can develop into a better nation.
"All of us, I think, have the same message, the same hope that the new government under the leadership of Mr. Prabowo Subianto can further increase the ability to output the government's performance in the future," said Surya Paloh, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 20.
In addition, Surya Paloh also hopes that the Prabowo government will have the continuity of the existing development.
On the other hand, he said that the leadership of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in the previous period had left a good legacy.
"I think what has been done is the best with all the strengths and weaknesses that exist. In reality, we can see from an objective perspective, a lot of progress that we have achieved," he said.
According to Surya Paloh, the performance and work ethic of the Jokowi government needs to be continued by Prabowo. He believes Prabowo can continue this.
"I think frankly, the output of the performance itself, works from time to time without knowing the time limit, I think with the ethic we need to appreciate. Yes, Prabowo can too," he said.
Today, Sunday, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka took the oath of office as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term of service at the MPR RI Plenary Session at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta.
Wrapped in Betawi traditional suits and fabrics, Prabowo and Gibran took the oath of office smoothly under the holy Koran.
"By Allah, I swear that I will fulfill the obligations of the President of the Republic of Indonesia as well as possible and fairly as possible, uphold the Basic Law and carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible and serve Nusa and the Nation," Prabowo said reading his oath.
Gibran also took his oath as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. After that, the two of them signed the Minutes of Inauguration.
A total of 709 of the 731 MPR members witnessed the procession of taking the oath of office. The MPR RI Plenary Session was also attended by national figures, leaders of political parties, and representatives of friendly countries.
