MPR: Thank You Jokowi-Maruf Amin!
JAKARTA - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) would like to express its highest gratitude and appreciation to the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the 13th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin.
"On behalf of the leadership and members of the MPR, we express our highest gratitude and appreciation to the 7th president of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Joko Widodo and the 13th vice president of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. KH Ma'ruf Amin for his service to the community, nation and state," said MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani in the Inauguration of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pairs Elected as President and Vice President of the 2024-2029 Period at the Nusantara Building, parliament complex, Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 20.
According to Muzani, under the leadership of Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin, development in the country in all sectors has been successful.
Indonesia, he continued, has also succeeded in facing various tough challenges, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic, global geopolitical turmoil, to climate change.
"Despite the various uncertainties, Indonesia's political and economic conditions remain stable and able to grow sustainably," he said.
On the same occasion, Muzani also thanked Iriana Joko Widodo and Wury Estu Ma'ruf Amin for accompanying Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin.
"Not to forget, we also thank Mrs. Hj. Iriana Joko Widodo and Mrs. Hj. Wury Estu Ma'ruf Amin who faithfully accompanied Mr. Joko Widodo and Mr. KH Ma'ruf Amin," he said.
After Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin, Indonesia in the next 5 years will be led by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka took the oath of office as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term of service at the MPR RI Plenary Session at the Nusantara Building, parliament complex, Jakarta, Sunday.

A total of 709 of the total 732 members of the MPR RI witnessed the procession of taking the oath of office. The MPR RI Plenary Session was also attended by national figures, leaders of political parties, and representatives of friendly countries.
It is known that around 20 officials at the head of state level and 18 ministerial-level officials are scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony at the Nusantara Building.
Friendly countries that sent their envoys to attend the inauguration ceremony include Germany, Qatar, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Laos, Vietnam, Vanuatu, Brunei Darussalam, Timor Leste, Serbia, and China.
Other countries are Cambodia, New Zealand, Solomon, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Britain, the United States, India, Jordania, Japan, Italy, Canada, France, Brazil and Fiji.
