Japanese Ambassador Expects An Improvement Of Relations With The New Government Of The Republic Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Masaki Yasushi hopes to improve relations with Indonesia's new government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto.
"Hopefully the relationship between Indonesia and Japan can become closer in the new leadership," said Masaki in a written statement from the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 20.
He made this statement ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the new President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka which will be held at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday morning.
Ahead of the inauguration ceremony, Masaki congratulated the election of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the new President and Vice President of Indonesia.
"Congratulations on duty to YM Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mr. Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the new President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
With this new leadership, he hopes that Indonesia can be more victorious and prosperous.
"Hopefully Indonesia will be more victorious and prosperous under his leadership," he added.
Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka will take the oath of office as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term of service at the MPR RI Plenary Session at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Sunday.
A total of 732 members of the MPR RI witnessed the procession of taking the oath of office. The MPR RI Plenary Session will also be attended by national figures, leaders of political parties, and representatives of friendly countries.
Meanwhile, a number of state guests were also reported to be attending the inauguration ceremony.

Then, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah, Vice President of Laos Pany Yathotou, Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, Vice President of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, and Former German President Christian Wulff are also scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony.
