The Meaning Of Janur Kuning Curves In Parliament Buildings When Welcoming Prabowo's Inauguration
JAKARTA - The atmosphere at the MPR Rl/DPR/DPD RI Building seemed lively welcoming the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029.
There is a curved yellow janur decoration on the terrace of the Nusantara building or the turtle hall. The red carpet is also held to close each step towards the plenary session room. The flowers around the turtle hall are also celebrating.
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, explained that the meaning of convex yellow leaves is a symbol of a big party in the parliament building. Namely, the inauguration ceremony of the president and vice president of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Yes, if the yellow janur is in our custom, it symbolizes a celebration. Today there is a big event, the inauguration of the new president and vice president," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, October 20.
