Menpora Fest 2024 Tournament Completed

JAKARTA The Menpora Fest 2024 event, which competed in three sports, was officially completed on Saturday, October 19 evening.

The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo attended and closed the event directly and handed over the prizes to the winners.

Dito said that the Menpora Fest 2024 is the peak of various series of national circuit events that have previously been held in various regions.

"This is looking for young seeds whose short term strengthens [Indonesia] at the Olympic Youth Games and Asian Youth Games. This has become a must from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to hold this event," he said.

Menpora Fest 2024 staged three sports (sports), namely futsal, badminton, and 3x3 basketball. During this event, a number of Indonesian artists were invited to attend to join in the crowd.

Dito said that in the future his agency will try to involve sports that suit the needs of the short-term targets at Youth Olympic Games and Asian Youth Games.

"Later, we will also collaborate with various stakeholders, both from the private sector and also from the federation so that the event can be even more interesting," said Dito.

The next Olympics Youth Games will take place at Dakar, Senegal, in 2026. The Asian Youth Games will take place next year in Tashkent City, Uzbekistan.

These two important events are held every four years involving 15 to 18 school age athletes. These two events are a major event under the Olympics and Asian Games.
