Managing Director Jahja Setiaatmadja Call BCA No Longer 'Bank Tired Of Queuing': We Have 16,500 ATM Machines

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to optimize technology to provide flexible services for its customers. President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja also said that the play on "Bank Tired Antri" was no longer valid.

According to Jahja, currently, BCA is optimizing technology in cash transaction services. The bank, which is owned by the conglomerate Hartono Brothers, has 1,339 branch offices including cash offices spread across all regions in Indonesia.

BCA also has 6,735 automated teller machines (ATMs) and 9,766 deposit-pull or CRM machines, bringing the total to more than 16,500 machines. Besides, BCA has 1,973-star teller machines and 9,080 retail locations in collaboration with retail stores such as Indomaret and Alfamart.

BCA also collaborated with 10 Rupiah Money Processing Service Providers (PJPUR) who assisted 89 points that became BCA distribution pockets. According to Jahja, the provision of ATM and CRM creates tremendous efficiency.

The existence of a star teller machine that can serve two customers, said Jahja, also increases efficiency and speed in serving customers.

"So, if in the past BCA was misled" Bank Tired Antri", the queues are now lighter because of technology, digital money, and the provision of CRM ATMs outside branches. Customers are also very flexible when making cash transactions", said Jahja in the Digitalization Talkshow Rupiah Currency Management, held by Bank Indonesia, Monday 6 April.

Jahja said the availability of ATM CRM from BCA is also supported by the performance of the deposit-pull machine which is always maintained at 99 percent. So, only 1 percent of ATM services that are offline occur due to technical and other problems.
