Jokowi Meets Daewoo Boss Ahead Of The End Of His Term Of Office, Discuss What?

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with the Chairman of Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Won Ju Jung towards the end of his term as number one person in Indonesia.

Jokowi's meeting with Won Ju Jung was revealed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir through a photo uploaded on his official Instagram @erickthohir.

"I accompanied Mr. President Joko Widodo to meet with the Chairman of Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Mr Won Ju Jung," Erick wrote as quoted on Saturday, October 19.

Erick said Jokowi's meeting with Won Ju Jung discussed opportunities for cooperation between Daewoo and state-owned companies.

In particular, continued Erick, BUMN is engaged in the energy sector and infrastructure for national strategic projects (PSN).

"This meeting discussed equal opportunities between Daewoo and BUMN, including in the energy and infrastructure security sector, especially in the National Strategic Project," said Erick.
