MotoGP Australia 2024: Jorge Martin Rebut Pole Position
JAKARTA The interim leader of the 2024 MotoGP rider, Jorge Martin, won the pole position at the Australian Grand Prix.
The rider who defended Prima Pramac Racing Team appeared to be the fastest in the qualifying round with a time of one minute 27,296 seconds on Saturday, October 19, morning WIB.
This is the third time in a row, a racer from Spain and runner-up in 2023 started the race from the front position at the Phillip Island Circuit.
The winner of the 2024 season title finished in front of Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) in second place and Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) in third place.
Meanwhile, defending champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) will start the race from fifth place, behind Marco Bezzecki who occupies fourth place.
Then in the sixth position Raul Fernandez from Trackhouse Racing. He was followed by Martin's teammate at Prima Pramac, Franco Morbidelli, who lived seventh.
In a row, the three riders who completed the top ten were Alex Marquez, Alex Rins, and his teammate Bagnaia, namely Enea Bastianini.
Australia's MotoGP race will take place on Sunday, September 20 tomorrow. The session will start at 10.00 WIB and take place in 27 laps.
Currently Jorge Martin is still leading the standings with a collection of 392 points. He is 10 points ahead of his closest competitor Bagnaia who occupies second place.
