Indrapura-Kisaran Section II And Bayung Lencir-Tempino Garapan PTPP Toll Road Project Inaugurated By President Jokowi

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) as one of the Construction and Investment SOEs in Indonesia inaugurated the Indrapura Toll Road Project - Section 2 Kisaran and the Bayung Lencir - Tempino Project located at the Kisaran Toll Gate, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province, on Wednesday, October 16.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated directly with the signing of the inscription as a symbolic form. Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Member of Commission 5 DPR RI Bakri, Acting Governor of North Sumatra Agus Fatoni, Acting Regent of Asahan Basarin Yunus Tanjung, Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Rachman Arief Dienaputra, President Director of Hutama Karya Budi Harto, and Finance Director of PTPP Agus Purbianto.

In this inauguration, the President of the Republic of Indonesia inaugurated 2 Trans Sumatra Toll Projects which were worked on by PTPP, the first was the Indrapura Toll Road Project - Section II Kisaran Section Limapuluh - Kisaran. Second, the Bayung Lencir - Tempino Toll Road Project, which includes the construction of the Bayung Lencir - Tempino Toll Road Section 2, a package carried out by PTPP.

The Indrapura - Kisaran Toll Road project is included in the National Strategic Project (PSN) which has a contract value of IDR 4.5 trillion, has a length of 47.75 km, with an implementation period from December 2018 - January 2024.

Furthermore, the construction of the Bayung Lencir - Tempino Section 2 Toll Road, which is included in the package for the construction of the Bayung Lencir - Tempinome Toll Road, has a contract value of IDR 1.18 trillion, with a length of 11.004 Km, and has an implementation period of 415 days from June 2023 - August 2024.

In his remarks, President Jokowi explained that the toll road was part of the government's efforts to accelerate the development of Trans Sumatra infrastructure.

"With the toll road, especially Trans Sumatra, we hope that there will be speed in people's mobility, speed in goods mobility, speed in shipping logistics distribution so that each region will be able to compete with regions in other countries because the competition now between countries is very tight," said the President.

President Director of PTPP Novel Arsyad said that with the inauguration of the Indrapura Kisaran Section 2 Toll Road Project and the Bayung Lencir - Tempino Project, PTPP has officially completed the National Strategic Project for the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.

"The inauguration of the Indrapura Toll Road - Section 2 is a continuation of the Indrapura - Limapuluh Toll Road Project which was previously inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in early 2024. With the inauguration today, PTPP has completed its mandate in the construction of the National Strategic Project (PSN) in the construction of Trans Sumatra infrastructure, namely the Indrapura - Kisaran and Bayung Lencir - Tempino Project with good quality, according to target, and prioritizing safety aspects," said Novel.

Currently, PTPP continues to be committed to completing the National Strategic Project which is still ongoing in accordance with the implementation target.

"For other PSN infrastructure projects that are still being carried out by PTPP, namely the Probolinggo - Banyuwangi Toll Road Project Section 3, South Japek Toll Road Package 2 Section 2A, Semarang Demak Toll Road Section 1B, and Serang - Panimbang Project Section 3, will certainly continue to be monitored to be completed with the best quality and on time, so that the benefits can be enjoyed by all Indonesian people and increase national competitiveness," concluded Novel.
