Motorcycle Thief Arrested While Hiding In His Uncle's House

JAKARTA - A motorcycle thief was arrested by the police after the perpetrator carried out the motorcycle theft. The perpetrator with the initials IS alias Anto (28) was arrested after the victim who owns the motorbike made a theft report at the Tamansari Police.

"The suspect was arrested at a hiding place at his uncle's house on Jalan Tangkit Lio, Tamansari," said the Tamansari Metro Police Chief, Kompol Adhi Wananda when confirmed, Friday, October 18.

Meanwhile, in the report letter of the victim who owns the motorbike, the theft took place on Jalan Kebon Jeruk 13, RT 13/05, Maphar Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

"Kami Polsek Metro Tamansari berkomitmen dalam menindak tegas pelaku kejahatan, khususnya tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor yang sering meresahkan masyarakat," ujarnya.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been secured at the Tamansari Police. The suspect is also still under development to dismantle his network.

For his actions, the suspect IS alias Anto was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding theft by weight.
