The Story Of A PPSU Officer Who Was Pointed By A Man In South Jakarta: I Bring A Machete, Just Carry It

JAKARTA Yusuf (31), an officer of General Infrastructure and Facilities (PPSU) who was threatened by Fadly Angriawan with an air softgun at the Buncit Indah complex, West Pejaten, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, last Tuesday, October 15, told the chronology of the incident.

Yusuf said, at that time he was cutting down a tree in front of Fadly's house. Suddenly Fadly cursed the officer, because he did not accept the sound of the cutting machine which he considered annoying.

"The problem is that the position of the tree is right facing the window, when facing me face to face. Exactly. Do you talk like that, you die, what are you doing with my tree?," said Yusuf imitating Fadly, Thursday, October 17, 2024 in South Jakarta.

It didn't stop there, Fadly also threatened with a firearm (originally). Fadly came down from the 2nd floor of his house.

"Maybe he's not satisfied with cursing at him. So when he cursed on top, we stopped working, turned off the engine because the conditions were not possible. We realized it was a gun, let alone I saw clearly face to face," he said.

After descending, Fadly asked PPSU officers to disperse, stopping cutting trees in front of his house.

"We were told to stop, while he was nodong. We didn't run away, we just got away. We were confused, because it was a fallen tree report, why did we work it out. We were confused," he said.

Another PPSU officer, Hasto (48) admitted that he had prepared a sharp weapon (sajam) of the type of machete. He said the machete did exist, because it was to stick a tree.

"I brought a reasonable machete, because I was snaking trees. I just carried it, I didn't want to put it, I was afraid. He didn't come out, he was just limited to the gate, it looks like his aunt was there. We sat here looking at him, he was horrified, he ran away, "said Hasto.

After Fadly entered the house. Hasto and Yusuf contacted the Head of West Pejaten Village, Asep, regarding the incident he experienced. Shortly thereafter, the village head came to Fadly's house to meet with the suspect's family members.

After communicating, continued Hasto, the boss made a police report about the threatening incident.

"Maybe the communication failed, so make a report," he said.

The police who received the information went directly to the crime scene (TKP) to arrest the perpetrators.

Currently, Fadly has become a suspect in possession of firearms and threats.
