Jokowi Calls There Are No Special Events In Solo After The Retirement
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said he would not hold a special event on October 20 at his residence in Solo, Central Java, after he officially retired.
President Jokowi said he would only return to his hometown in Solo by plane.
"Yes, just go home, take the plane down, then go home, already," said President Jokowi when met after meeting his newborn grandson, Bebingah Sang Tansayu, at the Bunda Hospital in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 16.
When asked further about the possibility of holding an event in Solo, President Jokowi responded briefly.
"There is no (event)," he said.
The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia also said that there was no gathering with the extended family, considering that his second daughter, Kahiyang Ayu and her husband, Bobby Nasution, who is also the Mayor of Medan, were in Medan.

Likewise, his youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono's wife, are still in Jakarta after waiting for their first daughter to be born.
"Where is his family, his family in Medan is the same here (Jakarta)," said President Jokowi when asked about the possibility of gathering with family after retirement.
