Britain Considers Sanctions For 2 Israeli Right Winged Ministers Who Talk About Starvation In Gaza

JAKARTA - Britain is considering imposing sanctions on two Israeli far-right ministers.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the two Israeli ministers were Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

As reported by CNN from House of Commons, Starmer responded to questions from Liberal Democratic Party leader Ed Davey, referring to Smotrich's comments "two million people in Gaza may be justified and moral".

Including another question from Ben-Gvir, who according to Davey called the settlers who killed a 19-year-old teenager who became a 'hero' of the West Bank.

"Will the prime minister now impose sanctions on ministers Ben-Gvir and Smotrich?" Davey asked.

"We pay attention to that, because these comments are clearly disgusting comments, as (Davey) says, along with other activities that are really concerning the West Bank as well as in the rest of the region. The humanitarian situation in Gaza is very bad," the UK PM said in response to Davey's question.

Starmer said Britain and France had also held an emergency UN Security Council meeting to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel must take all possible steps to avoid civilian casualties, to allow aid to enter Gaza much larger numbers and provide UN humanitarian partners with the ability to operate effectively, Starmer said.
