KAI Operates Jayabaya Train With A Series Of Stainless Steel New Generation

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has updated the Jayabaya railway facility for the Malang-Pasarsenen (pp) relationship starting today using a series of new generation economic trains.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said the Jayabaya Railway was the second train to operate with a series of executive mixes and stainless steel new generation economies, starting October 16, 2024.

"With this new facility, train customers can enjoy a cleaner and more modern interior atmosphere, access to enter and move the train cabin with electric sliding doors and informative PIDS during the trip," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, October 16.

Anne said that the upgrade of the economic train class on the Jayabaya train using a new stainless steel new generation train replaces the new generation economic train which has the same capacity, namely 72 modified seats from the upright chair by Balai Yasa Manggarai.

Furthermore, Anne said, this Jayabaya Railway is the economic train Stainlees Steel New Generation for new procurement from INKA.

"KAI is in collaboration with the procurement of new trains with INKA as many as 91 stainless steel new generation train carriages," said Anne.

Anne explained that the seats on the Stainless Steel New Generation economic train are already a captain seat type which will increase comfort for train customers when traveling with long travel times.

According to Anne, this improvement in comfort is because the entire new generation economic train has an ergonomic seat design facility equipped with a slope control feature (reclining) and can be adjusted in the direction of the train or face-to-face (revolving).

"With this update, KAI is committed to continuing to improve service quality and comfort for passengers," concluded Anne.
