Tomorrow The Tanah Abang Traders Will Demo, Complain About The 100 Percent Lapak Rental Tariff Increase
JAKARTA - Hundreds of MSME traders at the Tanah Abang Station Multipurpose Crossing Bridge (JPM) will again hold a demonstration at JPM Tanah Abang, Thursday, October 17, tomorrow.
"The demand is related to the service charge value which we consider too high. We ask for a reduction in service charge rates," said the head of the JPM Tanah Abang trading association, Jimmy when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, October 16.
According to Jimmy, the location of the sale is under the authority of the parent management of BUMD Sarana Jaya.
"Initially, the rental was Rp. 560 thousand per month, since last December it has increased to Rp. 1.4 more per month. This means that this increase is more than 100 percent," he regretted.

Jimmy estimates that all traders will participate in the demonstration tomorrow.
"The estimate is 200 to 300 traders who will participate in the demonstration tomorrow," he said.
Jimmy admitted that the current condition of sales at Tanah Abang Market has decreased dramatically. Visitors are also rarely passing by the location where JPM Tanah Abang is selling.
"They increase the value of service charge (housing) with the condition of the Tanah Abang market, which is empty of visitors and people's purchasing power continues to decline," he said.
