Telkomsel's BTS Curian Module Collector Wanted By Police To Hong Kong

JAKARTA - The results of the follow-up examination of the Menteng Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit against the perpetrators of the theft of the BTS module, it turns out that the confiscated evidence came from a number of areas in Indonesia. This means that the perpetrators acted in various regions to look for the goods they were aiming for. The police suspect that this stolen goods collector is a fairly large and strong network.

"The results of the check of the evidence that was secured turned out to be from Kalimantan, Riau, Sulawesi and other cities. SJ alias Jason (DPO) is a fairly large collector," said Menteng Police Chief Bayu Marfiando when confirmed, Wednesday, October 16.

The collection of stolen BTS modules in Indonesia was apparently controlled directly by SJ alias Jason, who is a Chinese citizen.

"This SJ is looking for, there is quite a lot of demand for modules and sharing in the media. Sales via Whatsapp," he said.

From the results of the investigation, the perpetrators of the theft of BTS modules also have work experience in a number of towers.

"They understand the problem of this module. The market, they also understand," he said.

Currently, the DPO with the initials SJ alias Jason WN Cina is still in police hunting. The Menteng Metro Police and the Central Jakarta Metro Police coordinated with the International Relations Division (Div Hubinter) of the Indonesian National Police.

Div Hubinter via Interpol will coordinate with Interpol Beijing to hunt down DPOs for collectors of stolen goods in the BTS module. SJ is known to act as accepting or accommodating BTS mode in Hong Kong.

Reportedly, the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Menteng Metro Police arrested 5 telecommunications equipment thieves belonging to Telkomsel and Indosat Oredoo International syndicates. The five perpetrators are an international network controlled from China.

The discovery of this international network theft syndicate began with the arrest of a suspect in the BTS module machine thief with the initials MJ (31) in Kenari area, Senen District, Central Jakarta.

MJ launched the theft in three different locations. The first theft was on the ESDM building of Jalan Pegangsaan Timur, Menteng.

Second on Jalan Pejompongan Baru, Tanah Abang. Then the perpetrators of MJ stole at the JKP Site 104 Kemayoran Market, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

"The perpetrator MJ (31) committed theft at the location wearing a Telkomsel technician's shirt," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters, Monday, October 14.

From the arrest of MJ, the police carried out developments to arrest four other suspects with the initials AL alias B (29), TY (34), RCH (25) and AB (49). They are a network of Chinese syndicates.

"The five perpetrators are BTS module tools thieves. The confiscated evidence is 227 units of BTS module and palettes containing BTS modules that are ready to be sent to China," he said.

Of the hundreds of stolen BTS modules carried out by five suspects, they sold them to a collector with the initials SJ alias Jason (DPO) who is a Chinese citizen.

"The module was sold to the suspect with the initials SJ alias Jason WN Cina, who is a DPO. They brought stolen goods and collected them in the Serpong area, Tangerang," he said.
