Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Inaugurates NU School Transformation In Indramayu To University
INDRAMAYU - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin paid a working visit to Indramayu Regency, West Java Province, Wednesday, October 16, to inaugurate Darul Ma'arif Indramayu University.
The Secretariat of the Vice President informed Vice President Ma'ruf to depart from Jakarta through the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta.
The vice president and his entourage left for Indramayu using the Super Puma Presidential VVIP Helicopter to Helipad Darul Ma'arif at around 08.45 WIB.
The presence of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the Darul Ma'rif University was welcomed by Acting Governor of West Java (West Java) Beyvi Machmudin, Pangdam III/Siliwangi Major General TNI Dadang Arif Abdurahman, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus and Chairman of the Darul Ma'arif Foundation Development Dedi Wahidi.
From the location of the helipad, the Vice President was accompanied by Acting Governor of West Java, Chairman of the Darul Ma'arif Foundation and a limited group to Darul Ma'arif University, on Jalan Raya Kaplongan, Karangampel District, Indramayu Regency using a bucket car.
Arriving at Darul Ma'arif University, the Vice President was greeted by Acting Regent Indramayu and Chancellor of Darul Ma'arif University. The presence of the Vice President was also greeted by a welcome dance and a scarf.
Darul Ma'arif University is a private university fostered by Nahdlatul Ulama founded by the Darul Ma'arif Kaplongan Foundation.
The university was originally the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Education College which was founded on December 21, 2021, then changed its status to Darul Ma'arif University through the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) RI Number 505/E/O/2024 on July 23, 2024.
The high school initially had only three study programs, namely Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Elementary School Teacher Education, and Physical Education, Health, and Recreation.
This transformation allows the university to open five new faculties, namely the Faculty of Teachers and Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA), Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Islamic Religion.
In addition, Darul Ma'arif University has also added five new study programs, namely Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Agribusiness, Islamic Religious Education, and Sharia Economics.

During this working visit, the Vice President was accompanied by the Head of the Vice Presidential Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Administration Sapto Harjono Wahjoe Sedjati, and Special Staff of the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi and Muhammad Imam Aziz.
After inaugurating Darul Ma'arif University, the Vice President is scheduled to continue his trip to the University of Indonesia, Depok, to attend the Promotion Session of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Doctorate, Bahlil Lahadalia.
