Today, MPR Meets SBY And Megawati Invite To Attend Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration

JAKARTA - MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani said that he and other MPR leaders will meet with 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, and 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), on Wednesday, October 16.

This meeting aims to convey the official invitation to the inauguration of the elected president and vice president, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, which will be held on Sunday, October 20.

"God willing, I will meet with Pak SBY and Mrs. Mega," said Muzani at the MPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday.

Muzani explained that his party continues to ensure the presence of invited guests, including state leaders, former presidents and vice presidents, and other VIP guests at the inauguration ceremony.

"Invitations from VIPs, heads of state, and heads of government are still being validated, and the number continues to grow, according to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," explained Muzani.

Previously, Muzani said that the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president-elect would run smoothly. He emphasized that the current security conditions and political situation are very conducive.

"Security is ready and alert. Political conditions, society, and all other aspects are also very good. God willing, everything went smoothly," said Muzani.

Furthermore, Muzani said that preparations for the inauguration will continue to be finalized, including decorations and a dirty rehearsal schedule on Friday 18 October and a clean rehearsal on Saturday 19 October.

"This week the decoration preparation has started. The dirty rehearsal will be held on Friday, and the rehearsal will be clean on Saturday," said Muzani.

However, Muzani could not confirm whether Prabowo and Gibran would attend the rehearsal or be represented by other parties.

"I don't know who will represent Pak Prabowo or Mas Gibran yet," he said.
