Firefighters Put Out Fire That Hanguskan Rentan 13 Pintu In Bandung

BANDUNG - The Fire and Disaster Management Service (Diskar PB) of Bandung City managed to extinguish a fire that scorched the 13-door rented house on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City.

"It happened at 11.40 WIB. So we immediately launched nine minutes until the location of the fire. The fire was thought to have started from a rented house and spread to a number of other buildings," said Head of UPT Migrant PB in the South region, Asep Mulyono in Bandung, Tuesday, October 15.

Asep suspects that the fire was triggered by a short circuit from one of the bedrooms and his party received a report from residents who arrived at 11.40 WIB.

Officers who received reports from residents went straight to the scene to extinguish the fire by deploying full strength because the fire spread very quickly, especially in densely populated settlements.

"So the suspicion from the owner of the contract is that it is suspected that it is an electrical short because no one cooks and suddenly the fire has become big," he said.

The rented building, which is dominated by wood, causes the fire to get bigger. However, the fire was successfully extinguished and is currently being cooled.

The total number of fire engines deployed reached 13 units from various UPTs and shophouses from PB Bandung City.

"The current condition is almost extinguished and it's just a matter of cooling down," he said.

Asep confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the fire and had succeeded in evacuating several people who were experiencing shortness of breath over this incident.

"There are some that are short of breath that have been handled," said Asep.
