Injury Doesn't Improve, Shin Tae-yong Rests Jordi Amat
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, confirmed that Jordi Amat would miss the Garuda squad against China on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Jordi's injury that made him pull out in the match against Saudi Arabia and Australia actually worsened after the match against Bahrain on October 10, 2024.
"Some players suffered long-term injuries, especially (Jordi) Amat, who suffered an ankle injury and his condition worsened during training," Shin Tae-yong said at a press conference on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Previously, it was known that Jordi Amat was fielded as a starter against Bahrain at the Bahrain National Stadium. He was later replaced by Rizky Ridho entering the second half.

Shin Tae-yong had revealed that Jordi and Sandy Walsh suffered minor injuries after the match against Bahrain.
However, specifically for Jordi, it turned out that his injury could not recover ahead of facing China.
However, Shin Tae-yong has prepared a replacement for the Johor Darul Tazim player.
"All team members have prepared well and stay focused."

The Indonesian national team faced China in the fourth match of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
