China Vs Indonesia, Shin Tae-yong: Opportunities To Be Balanced, But The Garuda Squad Is In High Motivation
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team visited China's headquarters, the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 19.00 WIB, in the fourth match of Group C, the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
If you look at the standings position, the Garuda squad is indeed better. Shin Tae-yong's team is in fourth place with three points from three matches.
While China slumped at the bottom of the standings without points from the same number of matches.
However, Shin Tae-yong is reluctant to underestimate the Dragon Team. He was so wary of China's revival and quality.
No doubt, the 54-year-old coach said the two teams had a balanced chance to win.

Therefore, Shin Tae-yong needs to ensure his troops perform best for maximum results. He emphasized that the Indonesian national team players must maximize the slightest opportunity and focus until the end of the match.
"Both teams have a balanced chance. The results of tomorrow's match will depend on who is able to maximize their chances and score more goals," Shin Tae-yong said at a press conference on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Shin Tae-yong is very confident that his students will play all out against China. The result of the 2-2 series against Bahrain in the previous match made the Garuda Squad narrow to win its first victory in qualifying.
You see, in the October 10, 2024 match, Indonesia's victory was actually in sight.
However, referee Ahmed Al Kaf made a controversial decision until finally Bahrain was able to equalize in the 90+9 minute.
"We arrived at Qingdao from Bahrain with high enthusiasm and courage. We hope to give our best and achieve positive results," said Shin Tae-yong again.
The Indonesian national team needs proof that victory is time to fight China. The reason is, in the first two matches the Garuda Squad was able to play very well in holding back the series of two giants, Saudi Arabia and Australia.
