Anthony Joshua Vs Daniel Dubois Rematch Date Has Been Set

JAKARTA - The reschedule date of Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois has come to light. Saudi Arabia's head of sports authority, Turkey Alalshikh, leaked the date of the fight.

He said that the Joshua vs Dubois volume II fight was planned for February 22, 2025.

Although it has announced the temporary date of the rematch, Turkey Alalshikh has not yet mentioned the location.

Wembley Stadium, which hosted the initial fight, is likely not to hold a second volume duel. There are rumors of a huge potential rematch between Joshua vs Dubois in Saudi Arabia.

That possibility was strengthened by a statement from promoter Anthony Joshua (AJ), Eddie Hearn.

"I think it will be part of the Riyadh Season at Riyadh. Riyadh Season runs from October 2024 to the end of February or early March 2025.

"So whatever in that period takes place in Riyadh. So, yes, it will be part of the Riyadh Season if that happens," Hearn said as reported by The Sun.

AJ and Dubois are fairly familiar with Saudi Arabia. Four of Joshua's 32 fights have taken place in Saudi Arabia, including his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr and Oleksandr Usyk.

While Dubois beat Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

Previously, there was speculation that Joshua vs Dubois' re-drain was postponed.

You see, IBF ordered the fight between Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole to decide who would be the mandatory heavyweight challenger for Dubois.

The two boxers were notified this week to announce their availability in the coming days. In fact, there is a possibility that the fight could take place before the end of the year.

However, it seems the IBF could agree to a rematch of AJ vs Dubois before ordering Dubois to face the mandatory challenger.

Apart from that, Dubois surprisingly hit Joshua's knockout at Wembley last month. His powerful right-handed shot brought down AJ in the fifth round.

The win ensured he defended the IBF world title and destroyed Joshua's dream of a big spring fight against Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua now seems to be getting a chance to take revenge by repeating the fight against Dubois next year.
