MPR Submits Invitation To Prabowo-Gibran's Inauguration To Vice President Ma'ruf Amin
JAKARTA - The leadership of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) visited the official residence of the Vice President (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin to submit the invitation to the inauguration of the elected president and vice president on October 20, 2024.
"Alhamdulillah, this afternoon we can be accepted by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin and we are grateful that he received us with full warmth, full of intimacy, and full of kinship," said MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.
Muzani said he and other MPR leaders first introduced themselves to the Vice President after being sworn in on October 3, 2024 as MPR leaders for the period 2024-2029.
"We came to his first residence, we introduced ourselves as the leader of the MPR after being inaugurated on October 3 and of course he welcomed the introduction warmly with joy," said Muzani.
After the introduction, Muzani then handed over the invitation to inaugurate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka to the Vice President.
"We invited him to attend the event and we submitted an invitation for him to attend. He accepted the invitation with pleasure and he hoped that the event could run smoothly, well, wisely, and run smoothly," said Muzani.

The vice president, said Muzani, also hopes that all Indonesians can witness the procession of the inauguration of the president and vice president as part of a democratic process that can run well.
"Moreover, it will be witnessed by dozens of heads of state, heads of government, both ASEAN and other neighboring countries, which will be an example for the procession and succession of heads of government from democratic countries such as Indonesia and he, God willing, will be present to fulfill the invitation of the MPR," said Muzani.
The agenda for the inauguration of the elected president and vice president is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024 at the Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR, Jakarta starting at 10.00 WIB.
