PDIP Will Lead 2 Commissions And 2 Boards In The DPR

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah said members of the PDIP DPR faction would lead two commissions and two agencies in the DPR after being agreed at the DPR Leadership Meeting and Consultation Meeting.

He said the commissions that will be led by the PDIP faction are Commission I and Commission V. Meanwhile, the agencies are the Budget Agency (Banggar) and the State Financial Accountability Agency (BAKN).

"Yes, (the commission) is one, five, Banggar, BAKN, we have a position as chairman," Said said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

He said the number of Council Apparatus Equipment (AKD) chaired by members of the PDIP faction was still the same as in the previous period, totaling four AKDs.

According to him, the commission's leadership rations also share with other political parties.

"In the DPR, it must be a joke. You can't win, you can't egoize. All interests of all political parties in the DPR must be calculated," he said.

The figures who will lead Commission I of the DPR are Utut Adianto and for Commission V of the DPR, namely Lasarus.

As for Banggar and BAKN, he has not said for sure. Meanwhile, Said was the chairman of the Banggar DPR in the previous period.

"The chairman's budget agency will be determined by the general chairman," he said.

Previously, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, stated that the DPR had agreed on the number of commissions to be added by two to 13 commissions for the DPR for the 2024-2029 term of office.

Puan said it was agreed in the inaugural Leadership Meeting and Consultation Meeting after the inauguration.

According to him, this was agreed upon by all eight factions in the DPR.

"There are two additional commissions in the DPR to be able to participate in aligning or synergizing with the upcoming government plan," said Puan.
