Land Bank Agency And PT SMF Collaboration To Provide MBR Houses Throughout Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Land Bank Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero). Through this collaboration, both parties will collaborate in overcoming the problem of housing availability (backlog).

The Land Bank Agency through this memorandum of understanding will provide land at competitive prices. Meanwhile, PT SMF will provide funding for the construction of the house.

In addition, PT SMF (Persero) can also channel its CSR funds for agrarian reform subjects at the HPL of the Land Bank Agency.

Head of the Land Bank Agency, Parman Natamatmadja welcomed this collaboration. He hopes that collaboration with PT SMF in residential development can overcome housing backlogs and create multiplier effects that can encourage economic growth and people's welfare.

"This MoU is in line with the duties and functions of the Land Bank Agency in ensuring land availability in the context of a just economy, one of which is for the public interest," said Parman in a press statement, Saturday, October 12.

Parman said that the use of land for the Land Bank Agency for the construction of MBR housing will continue to be expanded throughout Indonesia, which is the HPL of the Land Bank Agency in accordance with the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW).

Meanwhile, the Director of Multigriya Financial Security & Financial Facilities Financing, Heliantopo, welcomed the signing of this memorandum of understanding. This collaboration also affirms the commitment of the two Institutions in overcoming housing backlogs in the country.

This signing is very important for us. Because currently the housing backlog for ownership is approximately 10 million houses and the feasibility backlog is approximately 26 million," he explained.

The number of residential backlogs in Indonesia is still very high. Referring to data from the Ministry of PUPR, currently 12.7 million housing units are still needed to realize Indonesia's zero backlog.

According to Heliantopo, support from the Land Bank Agency is an excellent opportunity in accelerating the provision of MBR houses. In addition, with this collaboration, PT SMF can provide MBR houses with better and more appropriate specifications.

"This shows collaboration carried out with the support of the Land Bank Agency with banks and developers, we can make it at the same price as the FLPP, it's a better and more appropriate house. We will do the same thing throughout Indonesia regarding the use of land for the Land Bank Agency for MBR," he explained.

In the future, PT SMF plans to provide a home for ASN who work in IKN and its surroundings.

Currently, two Land Management Rights (HPL) of the Land Bank Agency in Kendal and Brebes Regencies, Central Java, totaling 4.3 Ha have been used for the construction of MBR's house through collaboration with the Ministry of PUPR, Perumnas, Bank BTN, and PT SMF.
