Construction Progress Section 1 Yogyakarta-Banyurejo Interchange Flats Reaches 67.23 Percent As Of September

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen (PT JJB), recorded significant progress in the construction of the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road.

The construction progress of Section 1 of the Yogyakarta-Simpang Susun (SS) Banyurejo section along 8.80 km has reached 67.06 percent by September 2024.

President Director of PT JJB, AJ Dwi Winarsa said that while the land acquisition progress was 95.29 percent as of September. In addition, the construction progress of Section 6 of the 4.98 km Ambarawa-Bawen section has reached 34.09 percent with a land acquisition progress of 78.06 percent.

Furthermore, he said, PT JJB is currently continuing to maximize construction work on land that has been acquired.

In an effort to accelerate project completion, PT JJB has completed the direction girder work in several locations.

In addition, the work of piles of soil at several points has also been carried out.

"Currently, the focus of the construction of the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road project is the construction of Section 1 of the Yogyakarta-SS Banyurejo section along 8.80 km, and Section 6 of the Ambarawa-Bawen section along 4.98 km," he said in an official statement, Friday, September 11.

The construction in these two sections is a top priority and is targeted to be completed for Section 1 in the second quarter of 2026 and Section 6 in the fourth quarter of 2025. Both sections are expected to operate according to plan," he continued.

Regarding the land acquisition for Section 1 of the Yogyakarta-SS Banyurejo section, according to Dwi, the Compensation Money (UGK) has now been realized to seven villages and is targeted to be completed this year. The villages include Tirtoadi Village, Margomulyo Village, Margokaton Village, Margodadi Village, Sumberejo Village, Tambakrejo Village, and Banyurejo Village.

"For the remaining land that has not been acquired, such as special characteristic land (Waqf Land and Agencies Land), it is also targeted to be completed this year," he explained.

Meanwhile, related to the land acquisition for Section 6 in the Ambarawa-Bawen section, continued Dwi, there are four villages affected by the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road Project, including Kandangan Village, Doplang Village, Bawen Village and Kupang Village, most of which have made UGK payments.

The construction progress of Section 6 of the Ambarawa-Bawen section is currently in the process of licensing affected agencies. These agencies are located in the Semarang Regency area. The work carried out in the field includes the construction of bridge jariles and box underpass work Simpang Susun Ambarawa," he explained.

For your information, the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road stretches across two provinces, namely Central Java Province along 66.32 Km and Yogyakarta Special Region along 8.80 Km.

This project is divided into 6 sections, namely Section 1 Yogyakarta-Banyurejo (8.80 Km), Section 2 Banyurejo-Borobudur (15.20 Km), Section 3 Borobudur-Magelang (8.10 Km), Section 4 Magelang-Temanggung (16.65 Km), Section 5 Temanggung-Ambarawa (21.39 Km), and Section 6 Ambarawa-Bawen (4.98 Km).

As one of the National Strategic Projects, this toll road aims to support the government's program in infrastructure development. When fully operational later, the journey between Semarang and Yogyakarta is expected to be more efficient, with a travel time that was initially 3 hours can be shortened to just 1.5 hours.

The construction of this toll road will not only facilitate the distribution of goods but also encourage the development of industry and tourism, as well as increase connectivity, especially in the southern region of Java Island.
