Luhut Calls The A6 LKPP Version E-Catalog Will Be Released Next Month
JAKARTA - The A6 version of the E-Catalog of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) will be released in November 2024.
This was stated by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. "Next month we will launch the A6 version of the E-Catalog where 85 percent of this government spending up to 90 percent is already in the E-Catalog," Luhut said quoting Antara.
He said later in the latest E-Catalog there would be 9.6 million items that could be purchased by government projects.
He said 85 to 90 percent of government spending was already in the E-Catalog.
He assessed that with the increasing number of items in the E-Catalog, the government could also see and make rules regarding which industries could support local items in the E-Catalog.
"And more than that, with this now we can make industry policy, what industry we need to support the local content," he said.
This can certainly create jobs and new industries. In addition, the development of E-Catalog can also be linked to downstreaming, which was originally nickel-oriented to iron steel.

On the other hand, Luhut told about the beginning of the formation of the E-Catalog which only amounted to 50 thousand items.
Then, he reported to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo that with the E-Catalog, government spending worth Rp3,600 trillion could enter the country. The existence of the E-Catalog is also proven to reduce corruption.
