Jude Bellingham Will Be Deposed In New Position During England's Greek Herbal Medicine

JAKARTA - Jude Bellingham is preparing for a surprising change in position for England as Lee Carsley, interim coach of the Three Lions, experimented with new formations in training.

This change in position cannot be separated from the absence of Harry Kane in the UEFA Nations League match between England and Greece at Wembley Stadium, Friday, October 11, 2024, early morning WIB.

According to The Times, Carsley is conducting a experiment using Bellingham as a striker in this week's training.

Bellingham, which is usually part of a midfield trio for the Three Lions, has reportedly been tested as an attacker in training sessions.

The news comes after it was confirmed that Harry Kane would not start against Greece after suffering an injury while with the Bayern Munich club.

Carsley also even hinted that there might be a different look at the way his team looked at the match against Greece.

"Together with some players who can play in the number 9 position, we have a lot of options in that position."

"Harry has been an amazing player for us for a long time. However, I feel we definitely have a plan B," said Carsley.

Carsley has no choice if he really wants to play conventional strikers. He still haswa Watkins and Dominic Solanke in the squad.

However, Bellingham could be a viable choice because the 21-year-old sometimes played in a more advanced role for Real Madrid last season.

In addition, Bellingham has proven that he has a goal-scoring instinct. He has scored 23 goals for Madrid last season.

Kane's absence will not only leave a gap up front, but also means Carsley will have to find a new person to wear the captain's armband.

The former England Under-21 coach has decided that the role will be filled by John Stones.

Meanwhile, the experiment will be considered by Carsley looking at the next match against Finland on Sunday, October 13, 2024, WIB night.

If in the match against Greece Carsley can find a way to play Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Cole Palmer together, the system will continue in the match against Finland.

Reports show that Carsley can play the attacking team featuring the trio with Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon.
