Polda Metro Will Examine KPK Employees Regarding Alexander Marwata's Meeting With Ex-Head Of Yogyakarta Customs

Polda Metro Jaya will examine an employee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in investigating the alleged meeting of Alexander Marwata with the former Head of Yogyakarta Customs Eko Darmanto.

The examination is planned for Friday, October 11 or at the same time as taking information on Alexander Marwata.

"In addition to brother AM, there are two more people who will be clarified, including one KPK RI employee and one other witness," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Thursday, October 10.

However, it was not conveyed in a way regarding the identity of the KPK employees who would be examined. Even with one other witness.

So far, it has only been stated that the invitation letter for examination of witnesses, including Alexander Marwata, has been sent by investigators.

Regarding the process of examining Alexander Marwata, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said that the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK had not confirmed his presence for questioning.

So, it is not yet certain whether Alexander Marwata will fulfill the summons for the examination.

"Regarding the confirmation of the presence of Alexander Marwata's brother to fulfill the clarification invitation that has been sent by the investigative team, we are still waiting for confirmation of his presence," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the alleged criminal act committed by Alexander Marwata is a direct or indirect relationship committed by the KPK leadership with a suspect or other party who is related to a corruption case handled by an anti-corruption agency.

Alexander Marwata is said to have met Eko Darmanto in March 2023.

During the meeting, the KPK was investigating Eko Darmanto in a case of alleged gratification and money laundering (TPPU).
