Coordinating Ministry For Political, Legal And Security Affairs For Coordination Meetings To Discuss IKN Defense Systems

The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam) held a coordination meeting to discuss the concept of defense implemented by the TNI in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

"We are discussing the concept of land, sea and air defense military defense as well as the concept of operating the military defense command and control system in the context of defense of the capital city of the archipelago," said Acting Deputy for Coordination of Security and Public Order at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Brigadier General Asep Jenal Ahmadi as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 10.

Asep said the discussion was in line with the mandate of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto to develop a defense and security system at IKN as an integrated concept of the Smart Defense System and Smart Security System.

According to Asep, the IKN defense system must be one of the priorities because the area will become the center of Indonesia's future government.

With a mature and effective security system, Asep believes that the center of Indonesian government can avoid physical or cyber attacks from other countries.

Asep continued to develop a mature defense system, his party needed to cooperate with related ministries and institutions.

This must be done so that all ministries and institutions do not overlap in carrying out their duties and have a clear role in strengthening IKN.

Meanwhile, Deputy for State Defense Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Maj. Gen. Rudy Syamsir also conveyed the same thing at today's coordination meeting.

"Let us unite our steps and commitments to create a safe, competitive capital city, and become an example for development across the country," he said at the meeting.
