Hashim Djojohadikusumo: Prabowo Will Build 3 Million Houses Per Year
Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (Satgas) Prabowo Subianto, namely Hashim Djojohadikusumo, revealed that the three million house construction program is a target in a year, so that one government period for 5 years can have 15 million houses built.
"Not three million (one government period). We want to build three million houses every year," said Hashim as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 10.
Thus, he continued, there will be 15 million houses in the five-year period of government.
"One period (of government) 15 million housing units," he said.
Hashim said the three million house construction program every year consists of the construction of 1 million apartments in urban areas per year and two million housing units in rural areas per year.
"The target is one million (apartements) in urban areas every year, and 2 million houses in rural areas every year," he said.
According to him, the construction of two million houses in rural areas every year can create jobs in rural areas.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono responded to the program of 3 million houses launched by the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Basuki said the program was good to solve backlog problems or home shortages which currently reach 12.7 million houses.
President-elect Prabowo Subianto promised to build as many as three million houses every year, namely one million houses in rural, urban areas and coastal areas each.
The house construction program is included in one of the big plans he has carried out with his running mate, the elected vice president Gibran Rakabuming Raka, named the National Transformation Strategy.
