Iran Builds Intense Communications With Arab Countries To Anticipate Israel's Counterattack

JAKARTA - Iran has increased its involvement significantly with Arab countries in recent weeks.

Officials travel between neighboring countries to consult when Israel plans a possible attack on the Islamic Republic.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he traveled to Saudi Arabia and other countries on Wednesday, October 9, days after holding meetings in Beirut and Damascus.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian traveled to Qatar a day after Tehran attacked Israel with a large number of missiles last week.

The trip to Riyadh will mark the third meeting of Iran-Saudi in less than a month.

The foreign ministers of the two countries met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly late last month, then Pezeshkian met with Saudi foreign ministers in Qatar earlier this month.

"Iran is determined to continue to consolidate his relationship with neighboring countries in order to achieve sustainable security and stability as well as economic cooperation that will benefit all countries in the region," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told X.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered an attack on Israel in response to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Iranian commander Abbas Nilforoushan and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Israel has not announced how they will respond but has promised to counterattack.

Araghchi is traveling to Saudi Arabia, a major US ally, to consult on regional developments and try to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon and Gaza, he told local media.
