Audi Q6 Latest E-tron Gets Satisfactory Results In NCAP Euro Safety Test

JAKARTA - Recently, the Euro New Car Assetment Program (Euro NCAP) safety agency revealed the results of the hit test on the Audi Q6 e-tron Quattro model.

Launching from the Euro NCAP page, Wednesday, October 9, the SUV obtained five stars in rigorous testing. The agency has set a number of criteria for testing it.

In the Adult Occupant, this car got a score of 36.6 points or 91 percent with a frontal impact test of 13.3 points, lateral impacts won 15.7 points, rear impact of 3.9 points, and rescue and extraction 3.7 points.

Meanwhile, Child Occupant's assessment earned 45.2 points or 92 percent. The results of the Crash Performance Test for children aged 6 and 10 years are also impressive with 24 points, safety fees 9.3 points, and CRS Installation Check 12 points.

In the Vulnerable Road Users category, the latest Q6 e-tron earned 51.5 points or 81 percent with a VRU Impact Protection of 27.9 points. Pedestrian's Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) assessment obtained adequate predicates and good results on AEB Cyclist, Cyclist Dooring Prevention, AEB Motorcyclist, and Lane Support Motorcyclist.

The Safety Assist category received a total assessment of 14.5 points or 80 percent by successfully passing the Speed Assistance sub-category with an adequate assessment, Occupant Status Monitoring was given a margin, and good results for lane support and AEB Car-to-Car.

This assessment does not only apply to the SUV version of Q6 e-tron, but also the sportsback and SQ6 variants which will launch soon in the future.

Supported by the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, the Audi Q6 e-tron has an electric motor with a magnitude of 422 dk and can increase to 456 dk with a trajectory control feature that allows the car to go from 0-96 km/h in just 5 seconds and can produce a top speed of 210 km/hour.

Armed with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of up to 100 kWh, the Q6 e-tron can go as far as 625 km in a fully charged battery state.
