Puan Maharani's Husband-owned Company Wins Strategic Fuel Pipe Project Contract In East Kalimantan
JAKARTA - The oil and gas company whose majority stake is owned by the husband of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, Hapsoro Sukmonohadi, namely PT Rukun Raharja Tbk (RAJA), announced that its subsidiary PT Pertrotech Penta Nusa (PETRO) together with the consortium PT Citra Panji Manunggal (CPM) and PT Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI) signed the Tanjung Batu-Samarinda BBM Pipanization Service Provision Agreement with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
The strategic project includes the construction of a new 120-kilometer fuel oil pipeline (BBM) connecting TBBM Tanjung Batu (Balikpapan) to TBBM Samarinda and TBBM Palaran in East Kalimantan.
President Director of PT Rukun Raharja Tbk Djauhar Maulidi in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 9, said the expansion of the fuel pipeline was in line with the company's long-term strategy to strengthen energy distribution capabilities in strategic areas.
"This is proof of our commitment to sustainable growth and our increasing presence in oil and gas infrastructure. We believe that this project will play an important role in maintaining national energy security and encouraging economic growth, especially in East Kalimantan," said Djauhar, quoted from Antara.
This achievement is one of the important milestones for RAJA in expanding the energy infrastructure business portfolio in Indonesia, as well as affirming the company's commitment to supporting the development of the national energy sector.
The project is estimated to be worth IDR 3 trillion and is scheduled to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2024. The commercial operation date (COD) is expected to be achieved in the fourth quarter of 2026.

In its construction, the company will invest IDR 980 billion and after completion, it is projected that it will generate annual revenue of IDR 225 billion and contribute EBITDA of IDR 200 billion per year.
In addition to strengthening national energy infrastructure, the project also supports the company's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The construction of this project is expected to improve the welfare of the community by creating jobs around pipeline development areas.
