The Facts Of The KPK OTT In South Kalimantan, From The Case, The Amount Of Money Secured, To The Parties Involved

YOGYAKARTA The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has succeeded in conducting a hand arrest operation (OTT) within the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Kalimantan. Unfortunately until this article was written, there has been no further information regarding the OTT, both from the KPK and the South Kalimantan Provincial Government. However, the VOI TEAM has summarized a number of KPK OTT facts in South Kalimantan which are currently in the spotlight.

Please note that the KPK's arrest operation was absent for several months. Currently, the KPK is targeting the South Kalimantan provincial office. The KPK OTT in South Kalimantan itself was held on Sunday, October 6th. Here are a number of facts.

The KPK OTT which was held at the South Kalimantan Provincial Government is closely related to the procurement of goods and services. This information is as stated by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexanser Marwata. When contacted, he explained that the KPK OTT in South Kalimantan was related to the procurement of goods and services, from the private sector to state officials.

"Usually, the PBJ case (procurement of goods and services)," explained Alexandrer Marwata to reporters when confirmed, Monday, October 7.

Unfortunately, Alexander has not yet detailed the case in question with the OTT. However, he stated that this practice is natural and there is no solution. Usually, the private sector will commit bribes to get a project.

"There is no accurate solution to eliminate the practice of PBJ corruption," he said.

"The conspiracy to appoint project implementation with a request for a number of fees by state officials has become a common practice in the procurement of goods and services," continued Alexander.

Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, when met by reporters, explained that in the OTT title, the KPK found billions of rupiah in cash.

"We secured (money, ed) more than Rp10 billion," explained Nurul Ghufron to reporters, Monday, October 7.

The exact amount cannot be submitted because the calculation process is still being carried out. The money is strongly suspected to be related to bribes in the procurement of goods and services.

In the OTT within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government, the KPK managed to attract as many as six people, some of whom were state administrators.

"Yes, we have secured about six people from the giver and recipient," said Nurul Ghufron to reporters.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika detailed the six people caught by the KPK OTT, namely two private parties and the rest are state administrators. Unfortunately there is no information regarding who the person caught is.

Tessa only said that the private sector and state administrators were already in the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. They will undergo an attack on the investigation.
