Prosecutors Wait For Delegation Of The Case Of A Former Member Of The Narcotics Unit Of The Barelang Police, Tilap Barang, Evidence
The Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) (Kepri) is waiting for the delegation of case files in the alleged procurement of one kilogram (kg) of methamphetamine evidence involving 10 former members of the Narcotics Unit of the Barelang Police.
Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasipenkum) of the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office, Yusnar Yusuf, said that until now the Riau Islands Police investigators had not transferred the case file.
"Until now there has been no delegation," said Yusnas, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 7.
The submission of the first phase of the case file should have been carried out by the Riau Islands Police after submitting the Notice of Investigation Commencement (SPDP) since September 6, 2024.
The SPDP was received by the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office for 11 suspects, each with the initials AMS, WRK, IM, R, JS, SS, F, JG, AC, SN and A.
According to him, according to the prosecutor's SOP, after the SPDP is received, and 30 days later the case file is not sent by the investigator, a notification letter will be sent so that investigators send the files of the suspects or P-17.
If 30 days after the first notification letter is sent, he continued, the case files of the suspects will not be sent, then a second notification letter will be sent again.
Then, if 30 days later (a total of 90 days) the case file is not sent by the investigator, the SPDP is returned to the investigator, and the SPDP is removed from the prosecutor's register.
However, until today the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office has not sent a notification letter, because the results of coordination with investigators will immediately hand over the case files.
"Based on coordination, investigators will send the file immediately," said Yusnas.
