DPR Members Who Have A House In Jakarta Still Get Rumdin Allowance
JAKARTA - Members of the DPR for the period 2024-2029 who already have a house in Jakarta will still receive official housing allowances (rumdin), after the DPR Membership Office (RJA) policy cannot be occupied by the people's representatives.
Secretary General of the House of Representatives Indra Iskandar said that all members of the House of Representatives have the same rights and obligations according to the law. Therefore, the representatives of the people will be treated equally regarding the allowance which will be received at the same time as the salary.
"Everything is treated the same so that everyone gets a replacement for the house where they live is the same, except for the DPR leadership because they have received an official house from the State Secretariat," said Indra as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 7.
Even so, according to him, his party has not yet determined the nominal allowance for the official house which will be received by members of the DPR.
Currently, his party is still conducting surveys with appraisals to determine the appropriate nominal.
"We don't want to look for the highest possible value, let alone as low as possible. But what is the most realistic thing, the residence can be a place for council members to work for the next five years," he said.
