Demanding An Increase In Salaries, The Association Of Judges Will Audience To The DPR Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, revealed that his party received an audience with the judge's ties tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8.

"We will receive an audience from the association of judges who will give or apply their aspirations for welfare, and others," said Dasco at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, October 7, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the audience would be accepted in a meeting chaired by the leadership of the DPR RI for the period 2024-2029.

Meanwhile, he explained that the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period would still work, even though the council equipment (AKD) had not yet been determined.

There are also several consultation meetings with the ministry. So, it's still going on," he said.

Previously on October 3, Spokesperson for Indonesian Judge Solidarity (SHI) Fauzan Arrasyid admitted that there were 1,730 out of 7,700 judges who would take part in collective leave on October 7-11, 2024.

The action is a form of demands for improving the welfare of judges, such as adjusting salaries and judge allowances that have never changed over the past 12 years.

Since 2019, the judges, through the Indonesian Panel Association, have pushed for changes to Government Regulation Number 94 of 2012 concerning Financial Rights and Facilities of Judges under the Supreme Court.
