Slank And Potlot Children Give Tribute To The Late Imanez
Slank is one of the performers for the special Potlot Jam at the Synchronize Fest event on the third day which took place at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday, October 6.
Slank was present to pay tribute to the late Imanez, a singer who pioneered the reggae music genre in Indonesia.
They also invited Imanez's son, Vava Imanez, to the stage.
"I saw Imanez's lyrics come down from the sky," said Kaka Slank, after singing the song 'Yo Man'.
Other performers such as Otto Jam, Anda Perdana, and Ipang Lazuardi also performed Imanez's songs, including "Must Want", "Samalona", to "Monkey Topeng".
At the end of the show, all the performers who were members of the Potlot Jam sang 'Child of the Coast', the famous song from Imanez which became an anthem for Indonesian reggae music.
