Foreigners Are Prohibited From Visiting Or Transiting In Indonesia
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has asked for strict supervision of foreign nationals who will enter Indonesia to reduce the number of imported cases or the spread of the coronate virus or COVID-19 from outside. Because, the spread of this virus is worldwide.
"I ask that the policies regulating the crossing of foreigners to Indonesia are evaluated regularly, periodically to anticipate the movement of COVID-19 from various countries in the world," said Jokowi before holding a limited meeting with his ministers broadcast on YouTube belonging to the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, 31 March.
After the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi said the government had issued a policy to stop the mobility of foreigners into Indonesian territory in order to reduce the risk of imported cases of COVID-19.
"It has been decided that all visits and transits of foreign nationals to Indonesian territory will be temporarily stopped," said Retno after a limited meeting.
However, the exemptions still apply to our kitas card holders, kitap holders, diplomatic permit holders, service permit holders and others even though they still observe the health protocols that were in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Monday, March 30, the number of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 reached 1,414 cases. Meanwhile, the number of cases recovered from this virus has increased by 11 people, so that a total of 75 patients have recovered.
