Jokowi's Fraudulent Politics Is Suspected To Be The Cause Of The Collapse Of Professional Elements In The Selection Of KPK's Capims
JAKARTA Researcher from the UGM Anti-Corruption Study Center (Pukat), Zaenur Rohman, suspects that the failure of professional elements in the ten names of candidates for leadership and supervisory board of the KPK is related to the political interests of President Jokowi Widodo (Jokowi).
The reason is, the composition of the KPK's candidates and candidates is filled by elements of the government, both still in office and those who have retired from their backgrounds as police, prosecutors, judges, to auditors and BUMN.
"Why am I disappointed? Because I see the results of this selection really reflect President Jokowi's political interests. Whereas ideally, the KPK is by professional elements and elements of civil society. So what? To be able to guarantee the independence of the KPK," said Zaenur, Sunday, October 6, 2024.
He suspects that President Jokowi's political interests in the selection of KPK candidates and candidates are to reduce cases related to his family at the KPK.
For example, the case of alleged gratification of Kaesang Pangarep and the case of the Medan Block that dragged Bobby Nasution and his wife, Kahiyang.

"It is reasonable to suspect that President Jokowi has a very big interest in the upcoming KPK. Moreover, his family is also in the spotlight," added Zaenur.

The chairman of the Pansel, Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, said the names had been submitted to President Joko Widodo and would be handed over to the DPR to take part in the fit and proper test process.
