Present At The TNI Anniversary, Chairman Of The DPD RI Appreciates The Performance Of The Minister Of Defense: Alutsista Is Getting Moderner And More Advanced
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD), Sultan B Najamuddin, was amazed by the progress of the TNI soldiers' weapons and weapons system in a military parade exhibited on the 7th anniversary of the TNI 5 October at the Monas field. The Sultan also appreciated the performance of the Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, who strengthened the defense system and modernized defense equipment.
"We are very proud to see the struggle and a high sense of nationalism of the Indonesian National Army. Hopefully the struggle will continue with the increasingly modern and advanced defense equipment", Sultan told reporters, Saturday, October 5.
According to the newly appointed chairman of the DPD, the TNI must continue to develop human resources and innovate the weapon system, both independently and with a military diplomacy approach with friendly countries.
"The current challenge of the TNI is to ensure that the TNI's defense equipment is more modern and advanced so that it can compete with other countries. Of course, taking into account the geographical conditions and doctrine of national defense", he said.

Sultan also asked the TNI to be at the forefront of overseeing and supporting the national development program led by the elected president Prabowo Subianto in the future.
"On behalf of the DPD institution, we appreciate the performance of the Indonesian Minister of Defense who has worked hard to strengthen the TNI's defense system and defense equipment. This is of course very important for the sovereignty of the country and the recognition of other countries to Indonesia," he said.
TNI soldiers, added Sultan, need to transform and engage in non-military activities. He considered that TNI soldiers should be given the same opportunity to develop their potential and interest in business and economic activities as long as they do not interfere with their identity as TNI soldiers.
"We hope that the TNI will be active in the success of economic and defense development programs. The enthusiasm and discipline of TNI soldiers is very much needed in the process of economic development both at the national and local levels," said the Senator from Bengkulu.
