Japan 2024 MotoGP Qualification Results: Pedro Alcohol Pole

JAKARTA Red Bull GAS rookie racer Pedro Asko has successfully received pole position after becoming the fastest in the 2024 Japan MotoGP qualifiers.

The Spaniard confirmed himself to have a leading start after making a lap time of 43.018 seconds at the Twin Ring Motegi Circuit on Saturday, October 5 morning WIB.

This qualifying session was marked by the track limit drama Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) and the fall of the leader of the drivers' standings this season, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing).

This incident made Marquez have to bite the start finger from the ninth position, while Jorge Martin is from 11th position. This is Martin's worst qualification result since the Austrian Grand Prix 2023 when he was in his 12th starting position.

This is clearly a big loss for Martin because his rivals in the hunt for the season title and also defending champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) occupy the second grid.

Bagnaia could use the far start position to cut his points with Martin. The two riders are now 21 points apart on the standings board.

Meanwhile, sitting in third place is Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing). He is in front of Enea Bastianini in fourth place and Brad Binder completes the top five.

Then Franco Morbidelli followed in sixth place, then the seventh position was occupied by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) who outperformed team-mate Marco Bezzecchi.

Completing the top ten is Alex Marquez, flanked by his brothers Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin, the riders who won the Mandalika Grand Prix last week.
