Mayor: BJ Habibie Gelora Stadium Has A Big Economic Impact On The Parepare Community
Mayor of Parepare Abdul Hayat Gani said Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium (GBH) supports the economy of Parepare City through stadium rental fees and also domino effects from the existence of the stadium.
"The presence of the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium in Parepare supports the economy because one of the economic impacts is providing PAD income from stadium rental costs which reach Rp. 30 million per rental," said Abdul Hayat, quoted from Antara, Saturday, October 5.
He said that to support the economy in Parepare, the GBH stadium renovation, which has now reached 54 percent progress.
Therefore, he is optimistic that the planning that has been prepared for the development of the GBH stadium will be better and the impact will have a domino effect on the economic development in this trading city.
This is considering that the MSMEs in the vicinity are also developing along with the community's needs in utilizing the GBH stadium.
In addition to having an economic impact, the presence of the GBH stadium is also seen as increasing the point football industry considering that Parepare is known as a city with strong football talent, especially because it is closely related to PSM Makassar.
