Prosecutors Set Former U-20 National Team Players For Corruption Suspects At UIN North Sumatra
JAKARTA - The Deli Serdang District Attorney's Office (Cabjari) in Pancur Batu, North Sumatra, named former U-20 national team player Irfan Raditya alias IR as a suspect in alleged corruption amounting to Rp795 million, at the State Islamic University (UIN) North Sumatra.
"Today we have named IR as a former national team player as a suspect. We have secured the suspect in Jakarta in collaboration with the South Tangerang Kejari (South Tangerang District Attorney) intelligence team," said Head of Cabjari Pancur Batu Deli Serdang Yus Iman Mawardin Harefa as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 4.
The former AFF Cup U-20 national team player in Palembang 5-19 August 2005, he continued, was named a suspect in alleged corruption in the work of rehabilitation of the Campus IV Tuntungan gate, at UIN North Sumatra.
The suspect is a work provider for making the gate at Campus IV Tuntungan who was forcibly picked up by the intelligence team because he did not heed the call.
"Because, we have previously summoned IR suspects 10 times officially. But they never attended, so we were forced to pick them up," he said.
After being forcibly picked up, his party also immediately named IR as a suspect for the detention of the soccer player born in Medan City, North Sumatra.

Currently, the five suspects have the status of defendants and are undergoing trial at the Corruption Court at the Medan District Court (PN).
The five defendants, namely Zainul Fuad (57) as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK), Irwansyah (54) as the Procurement Agent for the Goods/Services Procurement Work Unit (UKPBJ), and Surbakti (46) as the Planning and Supervisory Consultant.
Then, Mulyadi (40) as the executor of the fence rehabilitation work, and Muhammad Yusuf (39) as the supervisory consultant company and planner for both work.
